50. Triple Trouble (1918)

This film was made long after Chaplin had left Essanay and consists of scenes from Work, Police and other films with some newly shot material and double work.

Synopsis

Charlie sleeps in a flophouse and works as a janitor at the home of Colonel Nutt, an inventor who is experimenting with explosives. A foreign agent attempts to steal Colonel Nutt's latest formula but the inventor throws him out. The agent employs a thug to get the formula. When police arrive, a complicated fracas ensues which finally ends in a large explosion.
